Self-regulatory Committee of SPIR formulated and sent its comments on the Draft of the Regulation on Protection of Individuals with Regard to the Processing of Personal Data. SPIR takes part in the comment procedure in cooperation with the European professional association IAB Europe. The Draft of the regulation and SPIR´s comments are in the attached documents. |
Self-regulatory issue within SPIR works through Self-regulatory Committee. So far, the Committee dealt primarily with issues of using of content (text, audio, video records, respectively audiovisual content). Since April 2016, the scope for self-regulation was extended to personal data protection. The Committee develops and recommends standards and standards of conduct, provides a clear interpretation of the legislative restrictions and defines best practices. These recommendations should help the user to avoid a risk of sanctions.
